Short Post #1: Look beyond yourself
As you go through the next several days, whether you be at school, work, in your neighborhood, or church, look beyond yourself.
Think of ways to interact with people that you don’t know very well. Reach out to the person who is the ‘outsider.’ Find a way to make someone who is new feel welcome.
I feel like many of us live in our own little scene in our own little world. We often fail to notice people outside of our circle. Like to really take notice of them. To step into their world. To walk in their shoes.
When you look beyond yourself, life ceases to be about what you have to offer to improve your world. Instead, you begin to see the value in others and the realization of that value improves you.
